How do you handle tenant payment issues?
Every situation is evaluated on a case by case basis considering factors such as the quality of the tenant relationship, past payment patterns, and any prior tenant issues. Communication is the key. We start by contacting the tenant to understand their issue. We then discuss with our property owner to determine a plan of action. Should it not be possible or recommended to work with a tenant, a 5-day notice will be served and eviction proceeding undertaken if payment is still not received. Real Property Management also offers an Eviction Protection Program to protect our property owners should the need for an eviction arise.
